Crimson Ivy Will Bring Live Gothic Industrial Music Back to San Jose on Saturday August 22, 2009

Once home to venues like One Step Beyond, F/X, and The Edge, the Bay Area once thrived with live acts for the black-clad Halloween is everyday connoisseur. On Saturday August 22, The Smoke Tiki Lounge in downtown San Jose will host Crimson Ivy, Stan Kent who owned One Step Beyond in Santa Clara, Sean Denton who was a DJ there, DJ Neshamah, Lisa Dewey & The Lotus Life, Distance from Shelter (members of 187 Calm) and Veil Veil Vanish. Half of a two-day Sacred Leaf benefit for The George Mark Children's House will provide a black celebration for fans of Club Satori, The Box, Death Guild, and House of Voodoo- as well as old school fans of groups like Skinny Puppy, Ministry, The Cure, and Depeche Mode. This is a rare opportunity for industrial and gothic music fans to catch a live performance of this caliber south of San Francisco. RSVP at

Crimson Ivy is also due to release its fourth record soon (delayed slightly from May). Keep up with the band and get prerelease tracks at
